IMOLA 27/28 APRIL 2019

A huge crowd visited the Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Imola, the “theatre” of the 4th edition of the Historic Minardi Day which, in the two days dedicated to motorsport, made a new record as far as the number of people attending the event is concerned.

More than 15,000 visitors, with the aficionados who swarmed the pit lane and the pits of the Santerno for a journey, long more than half a century, in the world of the motorsport and of the Formula 1: 32 F1 cars, F2 and F3 cars, Prototypes, Gran Turismo, Pagani, Lancia Martini Racing, Lamborghini, Dallara Stradale and many other renown cars.

Also in this edition, Scuderia del Portello proved to be a protagonist by taking on the track its Museo Dinamico Alfa Romeo storiche da competizione with several cars belonging to gentlemen drivers, members of the Team, coming from the whole Italy and from Europe: the De Tomaso F1 Alfa Romeo which took part in the Gran Premio d’Italia in 1961 and the Tipo 33/2 which won in Fléron in 1967, both driven by the President Marco Cajani; the official Autodelta GTAm driven by Gian Luigi Picchi, who with this actual car won in 1970 the Nürburgring 6 Hours; the F1 Osella Alfa Romeo from 1986, at that time driven by Piercarlo Ghinzani, now in Imola by Federico Buratti and Angelo Miniggio; the 33TT3 of Joe Nastasi which, currently on view at the Museo del Motorismo Siciliano e della Targa Florio, took part in the Campionato Mondiale Marche in 1973 with the official Autodelta team and which was in Imola with one of its drivers of that period, Carlo Facetti; a Giulietta SS driven by Andrea and Giulio Frasson; a 75 Turbo Super Turismo driven by Massimo Romagnoli; and the Effeffe Berlinetta of the Frigerio brothers. From the Benelux: Walter Antonacci with a prototype Lucchini Alfa Romeo, Barend Aarts with a F3 Dallara Alfa Romeo and Michael Chin with a Formula Alfa Boxer.
