AUTODROMO DI MODENA – 3.3.2019
On Sunday 3 March, the Museo Dinamico Alfa Romeo Storiche da Competizione Scuderia del Portello went to the Autodromo di Modena for the second edition of the Drive Experience Track Day organized by Davide Cironi.
The event, which was successful also in its first edition (2018), this year saw the presence of an even bigger public (more than 5000 people), 650 cars lined-up in the paddock and around 300 on the track – cars of any kind, ranging from historic to modern, racing, super tourism, single-seater and street cars.
Scuderia del Portello participated in the track day with an Alfa Romeo GTAm driven by Gian Luigi Picchi – the same car he drove in 1970 for the Autodelta racing team, with drivers such as Facetti, Hezemans, Zeccoli and de Adamich (with whom in that same year Picchi reached the first place overall during the Nürburgring 6 Hours).
The other cars on the track, driven by the President of the Scuderia Marco Cajani, were the Formula Uno De Tomaso Alfa Romeo (1961) and the 156 Super Produzione.
The formation of the Scuderia del Portello was made complete by two historic Alfa Romeo Giulia cars driven by the delegates of the Club Cuore Sportivo Lazio, led by Danilo Cambrini and Maurizio Solazzi.
Among the most prestigious guests, the World Champion TCR 2018 Gabriele Tarquini who took part in the event with the car with which he won that trophy.
